Objective and Structure of the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, U.P.

To bring qualitative improvement in the standard of living of the workers engaged in building and other construction works, the Building and Construction (Regulation of Employment and Service Conditions) Act, 1996, and the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Cess Act were implemented by the Government of India. In pursuance of the same, the Government of Uttar Pradesh promulgated the Uttar Pradesh Building and Construction (Regulation of Employment and Service Conditions) Rules on February 04, 2009, and constituted the Uttar Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.

  • Special Secretary, Public Works Department - Ex Officio Member
  • Employer Representative - Member (Total of 3, of which one woman member is mandatory.)
  • Employee Representative - Member (Total of 3, of which one woman member is mandatory.)
